some production photos taken in the past few months!
the fish production day was one of the most tiring i guess!
i'm sure we'll never forget the mercuries (is there such a word!? xD)
and not to forget, the weird random crazy things that we did during our short breaks!
remember all the tears, perspiration, laughter, that we've had throughout this production process. keep holding on guys!

CCA has been gradually gathering speed as we near production dates. Today is the official ONE WEEK before our opening night. We have 7 more days; jiayou guys! It's really hectic now and I know everybody's really working hard together to get things done. But it'll be a well-earned experience and when we look back a few months down, it will be an experience we would be proud of. (:

School starts and cca is obviously no exception. Cast was in full force so we were able to do a full dress rehearsal(: the sec 2s had the honour of moving the boxes down to the auditorium, but maybe there was insufficient manpower so sec1s and 3s just had to help. Back at the audi there was a slight confusion, with which wing the boxes go to, sadly, we ended up having missing boxes. The rehearsal went just fine but mr Ng lost his patience at times...x(
-We are left with 14 days to opening night.-
Ganbatte!

It's the last day of holiday rehearsals. Absentee rate is HIGH, but kudos to the sec three's because they're the only batch with full attendance. So with an incomplete cast, we couldn't rehearse and left to work on unfinished props:
1)scrolls
2)cat
3)fish
4)more fish
it lasted one whole session, with everyone struck with severe hunger pangs (maybe except van's mr. squid) who had absolutely no complaints(: But mr. Ng was being really nice with Bengawan Solo plus Macdonald treats ^___^ so until next cca session, props are officially settled(: AWESOME.

Mercury, is one of the many metal elements. It is a poor conductor of heat, but conducts electricity well. Its uniqueness derives from the fact that it is the only metal to appear in its liquid form under room temperature.
Pure mercury is poisonous.
Mercury, can accumulate in the bodies of organisms and destroy the central nervous system. If left exposed to heavy mercury environments for long time, it may lead to death.
1908, Chisso Corporation pumped in millions of investments into setting up its first factory in Minamata Bay, Japan. It was a great success; the company products were selling fast and Chisso soon became the most developed company in Minamata. The company dumped its organic mercury waste into the river, infecting all marine life. The villagers were largely fishermen by profession and a series of strange medical cases soon erupted. Though Chisso Corporation was fully aware of the consequences of its actions, it continued to dumped its mercury waste at will. This reckless act caused the outbreak of the Minamata disease and 2265 victims, of which 1784 subsequently died.
This is a true case in history. Through a modern performance interpretation, Mercury will bring you to Minamata in 1908, to experience the innocence, and pain of the villagers then.
